Over the last few years, the colour ‘camel’ has been making a huge return in the fashion world, although it actually never left us in the first place. Over the years we’ve seen the camel coat trend seamlessly prancing through the decades on leading ladies such as Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy, and Kate Moss. It is the quintessential luxe element to finish a look with a Hollywood polish.
The camel colour is truly an evergreen trend, which seemed to start with classic, timeless coats, but these days we’re seeing the colour everywhere and on everyone, including our darling Coco. Designers that are continuing to carry on the camel coat trend varies from Hobbs Cara, Emporio Armani, and Gucci. The trend is also starting to expand from hats to shoes, to makeup and nail polish. You can honestly do no wrong with nudes and neutrals related to camel.
The best thing about wearing camel is that it looks flattering on everyone, and being ‘a neutral’, honestly can be worn with any other colour. It achieves this by adding warmth and depth of shade and texture to even the boldest and coldest of colours. Coco wears her camel coat by Max Mara with this emerald green turtleneck top and skirt by Wolford. Pursuing a look of traditional glamour, she adds classically feminine accessories in the form of large pearl earrings, a black Alexander Wang clutch, and never failing statement sunglasses!
